Eclectic, casual, fun place with delicious fresh lobster rolls! Charlotte and her staff were delightful and this place that we happened upon, turned out to be a memorable and delicious find. Don't pass up the fries...yum! Be sure to visit her two pet goats in the back. If you're lucky, a herd of local deer often wonder right up to the surrounding fence.
Look forward to to returning again.
Passed by during a ride earlier today it was crowded. Went back for dinner we thought it was closed. Best meal we have had on MDI to date.
Scallop, haddock, french fries; then an excellent desert of blueberry pie and fried dough wrapping dark chocolate and covered with powdered sugar served with whipped cream?for dipping. Staff was friendly. Had a wonderful conversation with the gentleman who minded the fireplace we sat near under the roofed dining area during a rainy afternoon.
A total surprise on the side of the road and so incredibly happy I found this Lobster Pound. Charlotte is passionate about her delicious food and the place is quirky. But the lobster rolls and French fries are the best tasting anywhere I found in Maine. (You have to try the fries--- they are the bomb!!!) Btw, you eat at picnic tables and a covered patio with a fireplace!!
The best food on the island. The lobster roll was the best I've ever had. Fries are incredible as well. Outstanding, friendly service. I could eat here every day and it would never get old.
Great drive up. Very kid friendly. Adult friendly too. Everyone is super nice. Lobster, steamed clams, haddock, burgers all great! Also, excellent music. Even comes with Grover, the adorable petting goat (except my 12 year old is now sitting here muttering 'Yep, we've got to get a goat')
