Great campground. Loved it there. Wish I was back there right now.

Would be 5 star if has a shower. Peak season, the parking lots might not be enough.

Had a great time and will be back again soon.

Amazing camp. Clean bathrooms. And can hear the waves crashing at night.

I stayed 7/9/17-7/12/17. We rented site D09. It was a walk in site near the restroom which I felt was perfect when you have the bladder of a 90 year old overnight. The sites in that area are very close together, I think 8 and 10, so much that you could hear eachother whisper. For the price and duration it wasn't a problem for us. The walk in distance to that one specifically was less than about 7 feet, but there were others that were a very very far walk from the cars but I didn't get a chance to see the privacy on those. So although the walk may be longer, the privacy may be better! They have free fire wood on site, they try to chop it everyday. We made the mistake of buying some up the road before we got there. The bathrooms near our site were very well kept, look somewhat new! Although the cleaning times were quite random and I think they should be changed, they closed them down for an hour at like 8am or maybe 830. People are still getting up around then and we witnessed so many people having to go find the other facitlites. Other than that, staff were nice, the site came with a fire pit and was clean before we got there. We didn't go to the coin operated showers down the road, there is another campground within a five minute drive that has showers, 3 dollars and you get unlimited time. We chose to do those. They were clean for the most part (id bring shower shoes), I wish seawall had showers but they do not. They have spigots around the campsites to get water for cooking and such, as well as areas to dispose of your dish water. It is a 30 min drive from the main area of Acadia, All in all, great stay on the quiet side of the island for a last minute booking!

For shower, go 2 miles down the road to bass harbor campground, it's $3 per person for unlimited time. Open till 10PM

But besides these, this campground is terrific, as most of you all may already know it's on the quieter side of the park, the picnic area is scenic, and very close to the bass lighthouse so you could get there early in the morning to avoid the heavy tourists traffic

Quiet. Great services. Clean bathrooms. Ranger programs were awesome and interesting.

Great campground. Cleanest bathroom facilities I've seen at a NP. Dish washing station and water available. They let you use hammocks as well!
